REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) Faculty Advisor

• Supervised two undergraduate students on a summer research project “Optimizing microalgae growth for carbon capture and biofuel production.” (2022)

• Supervised two highschool students on a summer research project: “Using computer vision to quantify microalgae growth.” (2023)

• Led an REU workshop on preparing and presenting reserach at academic poster sessions (2022, 2023)

Scientific Communications Fellow ( Jan 2020‑July 2020)

• Developed a hands‑on demonstration for K‑6 students (and the public) to explain the concept of fluidization.

• Planned to carry out demonstrations at local elementary and middle schools (canceled due to COVID pandemic)

• Participated in training workshops focused on communicating science to a range of audiences.
